Bedroom-Bound Dreams

Creation #

I created this song using Garage Band on my 2018 iPad Pro while my newly acquired MacBook Pro was getting the screen fixed. This was made at 3:28am on my bed while I couldn’t sleep.

The title of the song (get ready for the r/im14andthisisdeep) is about how all the stuff I make / want to make is done in my room, and rarely ever goes beyond that. Basically, touch grass more.

Composition #

The song’s main focus is the drums (as are most of my songs since that’s my main instrument of choice) I found a built in kit that had a few samples I liked such as the reverse kick sound and the wood block sound and incorporated it into the main beat.

Layered on top of that are some simple synth chords (Fm, Ab, Absus2, Ebm) which is then underlined by an arpeggiated bass synth. The song is in Db Major I think? I don’t know music theory lol.
